1. Research Team: The candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Mengzhu Zhang, Assistant Professor and Doctoral Advisor at the School of Urban Planning and Design, Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School. 2. Research Platform: The position is affiliated with the Key Laboratory of Land Surface System and Human-Nature Relations (Ministry of Natural Resources)—specifically, the Urban Social Computing and Governance Studio. The lab provides extensive spatiotemporal datasets (e.g., land use, human behavior, socio-economic data) and robust software/hardware support.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. A Ph.D. (awarded or imminent) in Human Geography, Public Administration, Urban Planning, Geographic Information Science, or related fields. Applicants must be under 35 years of age.
2. At least two high-impact publications in SCI/SSCI-indexed journals.
3. Demonstrated independent research capabilities, proficiency in relevant theories/methods, strong passion for research, meticulous attitude, hands-on skills, and excellent English writing/communication abilities.
4. Full-time commitment to postdoctoral research upon admission.
5. Good health, strong sense of responsibility, and outstanding teamwork and communication skills.
6. Compliance with Peking University’s postdoctoral recruitment policies.
Compensation & Benefits:
1. Base annual salary of ¥120,000 (Peking University standard) with housing subsidies.
2. Additional Shenzhen municipal living allowance of ¥180,000–300,000/year during the term.
3. Performance-based research bonuses and university-level incentives.
4. Post-completion support: Eligible candidates who remain in Shenzhen may apply for ¥360,000 living subsidy and ¥600,000 research grant.
